Updating the update

1. Dissertation proposal in!!!!!!!!!
2. Second tulip about to bloom, pending update 3
3. Spring is NOT here to stay. Rainy, wet, in the 40's today. Ugh.
4. Glad it's the weekend and no big deadline hangs over me.....

Hoping for warmth, here, and preparing to start a new blog.

YAY to the diss proposal being IN!!!

In many ways for me that was the hardest/weirdest part of writing--writing *about* what you're going to write about, rather than just writing the damn thing. Hooooboy I am thankful to not have to do that again.

Today I attended my university's graduation as a faculty member, all cloaked in doctoral regalia and flimflam. It was a wild and weird experience. At the end I was talking to a colleague who is going in two weeks to her son's graduation...at Swarthmore. She's staying in Willets. Oh, the nostalgia for the amphitheater and the beautiful outdoor graduation...

All this to say...HUZZAH!
And I love you and miss you.
